Healing Touch for Animals® / Komitor Healing Method, Inc. (HTA/KHM)?

Healing Touch for Animals® is a bio-field energy-medicine training modality combining philosophies, techniques and applications to promote energy balance and healing of our animals. This program introduces holistic concepts to assist with injuries, illness, surgery, wound healing, behavioral problems and stress related issues. The HTA/KHM Techniques are largely based on the Healing Touch for humans, the energy-based modality of Healing Touch that has been recognized throughout the human medical community since 1989. The concepts taught in HTA apply to every animal— large or small, pet or exotic, bird, mammal, reptile or aquatic. Best of all, anyone can learn to use them.

Workshops are being taught throughout the United States, in Canada, New Zealand, Australia, The Netherlands and in parts of Europe.

What is Healing Touch?

Healing Touch is a holistic energy therapy that emphasizes compassionate, heart-centered care in which the Healing Touch provider and client are equal partners in facilitating health and healing. Healing Touch providers use gentle, non-invasive touch to influence and support the human energy system within and surrounding the body. The goal of Healing Touch is to restore harmony, energy and balance within the human energy system. This goal supports the client's self-healing process of becoming whole in body, mind, emotion and spirit. The Merriam-Webster dictionary lists the primary definition of "Healing" as "to make or become healthy, sound, or whole".

Healing Touch complements conventional health care and is also used in collaboration with other approaches to health and healing. For more information on the Healing Touch Program, visit www.healingtouch.net.

What will I learn at an HTA Level 1 workshop?

Healing Touch for Animals® Level 1 is a three-day experiential workshop working with dogs and horses to show how we can assist the animal’s healing process. The Komitor Healing Method, Inc. philosophies and techniques are introduced, showing application of energy techniques for animals. During the workshop, you will learn and easily understand the physiological response of the animals who receive HTA Treatments.

The Friday evening teaching of the workshop is an introduction to Healing Touch, which provides an understanding of energy facilitation.

The Saturday teaching is the Canine Workshop. This segment offers hands-on techniques used to assist animals with healing. Students are invited to bring their well-behaved dog to the Canine Workshop.

The Sunday teaching is the Equine Workshop and features hands-on experience with horses. Horse-safety instruction is given so that even novices feel comfortable around large animals. This is an opportunity to experience the enhanced energy awareness created by the horse’s energy system. Read the complete Level 1 Description

How does HTA compare to the Reiki modality?

KHM is an umbrella of various techniques to facilitate the healing process.  KHM is a name used as a standard of bio-field therapies used with people and animals.  Healing Touch for Animals® is the title used for doing-business-as (DBA) under KHM.

Healing Touch for Animals® works with the energy body to provide the correct physiology so the body can heal.  HTA provides the techniques to support this process.  HTA helps with emotional, physical, behavioral issues, etc.

Reiki is an ancient energy modality that is initiated by a Reiki Master through attunement.  Both KHM and Reiki are bio-field, energy-based modalities.

How does HTA compare to Healing Touch?

The difference between HT and HTA is the difference in the energy fields between humans and animals.  Carol, under Komitor Healing Method, Inc., has developed the HTA Techniques to allow for the difference in the animal’s energy structure.  All of the HTA Techniques presented are taught to adapt to the animal’s energy field to assist in optimum healing.  The HTA Techniques can also be used effectively on humans.

Healing Touch for Animals® (HTA) is privately owned and is not governed by any other organization. Healing Touch for Animals® endorses the Healing Touch Curriculum and the healing work that is facilitated for our human population.
